About Open Systems
In January 2011, after three successful years of highly acclaimed international exhibitions and events, Gülsen Bal, the founding director of Open Space – Zentrum für Kunstprojekte Vienna, has initiated a fundamental shift in the way Open Space operates. In 2011 it will function as Open Space, Open Systems before becoming Open Systems in 2012. This transformation toward an even stronger focus on a discursive engagement with our changing world is marked by an active involvement of an advisory board, aiming at producing diverse cross-overs and open-ended cultural encounters through shared artistic and creative imagination.
