PRESENTATION OF THE RESEARCH PROJECT OF MEDIA PRACTICE OF YOUTH CULTURE IN SFRY
The project is presented by the authors: Aleksandra Sekulić and Vladimir Jerić, with contributions from the research team of the Media Archeology project. In researching some aspects of pop culture in SFRY, which are related to youth culture and media production, the project Media Practice of Youth Culture in SFRY examines the specific status of youth as a priority group in the cultural policy of SFRY.

Hito Steyerl: "Witness. Notes to Philosophy of Interview"
What is a testimony? What is his relationship with the truth? These issues will be discussed on the examples from the films of Jean-Luc Godard, Jean-Pierre Goren, Alan Rene, Margaret Diras, and Roy Rosen.
Hito Stejerl is a documentary filmmaker and art theorist. The exhibition of Political Practice of (Post) Yugoslav Art shows her film entitled "Journal No.1 / Artistic Impression", which explores the relationship between the event, the trace, the testimony, and the narration that is established around it, in connection with the fate of the Sarajevo Film Archive. , destroyed in the war of the 1990s and on that occasion the lost Film Journal No.1.

Jelena Vesić, curator of the exhibition, and her guest Branislav Dimitrijević, art historian
Why is the exhibition Retrospective 01: Political Practices of (Post) Yugoslav Art both a historical exhibition and an exhibition of contemporary art? Emphasizing the different curatorial strategies applied in the mediation of ideas and topics presented at this exhibition, Jelena Vesić will question the forms and formats of contemporary art exhibitions and their role in the construction of the term "modernity".
The guest at this guided tour will be art historian Branislav Dimitrijevic, who will give his comments on the structure and narrative of the exhibition.

Interested visitors will be guided through the "Mausoleum of Art History" by Goran Djordjevic - the guardian of the mausoleum.
The "Mausoleum of Art History" in Belgrade is actually the Tomb of Art History. It is the place where two art histories are buried. Herbert Reed's "History of Modern Painting" is housed in one room, and H. V. Janson's "History of Art" in the other. If history is the way we have chosen to remember the past, then this "Mausoleum" is a place where we can remember the memory itself.

PUBLIC DISCUSSION ON THE WORK OF PARTISAN SONGSPIEL. BELGRADE STORY
(Moscow-Petrograd group Chto Delat in cooperation with the Bureau Belgrade)
Artists will take part in the discussion: Dmitry Vilensky, Olga Egorova - Tzaplya, Vladan Jeremic; film participant: Biljana Stanković - Lori; curator of the exhibition: Jelena Vesić
Partisan Songspiel. The Belgrade Story was filmed in 2009 in Belgrade with a foothold in a specific historical event, but also a political narrative applicable in the broader context of the neo-liberal periphery and specifically in the post-conflict space of the former Yugoslavia. It starts from an analysis of a specific situation: the political oppression of the city authorities against the Roma, located in the vicinity of the luxury settlement of Belville on the eve of the 2009 Universiade.
The discussion is preceded by a screening of the film Partisan Songspiel. Belgrade story, as well as the previous film of the group Chto Delat: Perestroika - Victory over the coup.

THE IGNORANT SCHOOLMASTER AND HIS COMMITTEES Public Translation and Discussion of Miklavž Komelj's Book How to Think Partisan Art?

The exhibition Political Practice of (Post) Yugoslav Art: RETROSPECTIVE 01 was co-produced by Prelom collective, the Center for New Media kuda.org, and the Museum of Contemporary Art - Belgrade.
The working team of the exhibition: Jelena Vesić (curator of the exhibition), Radmila Joksimović (coordinator), Zoran Pantelić (designer of the exhibition), and Vladimir Jerić (technical consultant).

The exhibition Political Practice of (Post) Yugoslav Art: RETROSPECTIVE 01 deals with the research of the cultural heritage of socialist Yugoslavia through specific examples and concrete analysis of artistic practices within the institutional, political and social contexts in which they were formed. The primary focus of this exhibition is critical practices in which artistic gesture overlaps with social activism, socio-political theory, and self-organization strategies. Establishing the historical sequence of partisan art - socialist modernism - new artistic practices - contemporary art, the exhibition considers the concepts of political practices of art and the ways in which we can apply them today. This historical sequence is approached through specific thematic or problem focuses a documentary-research approach to the presentation and case studies. The exhibition was created in cooperation with a group of independent organizations, collectives, and individuals operating in the former Yugoslavia and whose work is related to the Yugoslav heritage.
Political Practices of (Post) Yugoslav Art: RETROSPECTIVE 01 consists of nine chapters: How to Think Partisan Art (Miklavž Komelj, Lidija Radojević, Tanja Velagić, Jože Barši), Didactic Exhibition (WHW, Zagreb), Vojin Bakić (WHW, Zagreb), As soon as I open my eyes in the morning, I see a film (Ana Janevski, Warsaw), TV Gallery (SCCA / pro.ba, Sarajevo; kuda.org, Novi Sad; WHW, Zagreb), Permanent Art Hour (kuda.org, Novi Sad), Izvađeni from the crowd (DelVe, Zagreb), Two Times of One Wall: The Case of SKC in the 1970s (Prelom Kolektiv, Belgrade), Kunsthistorisches Mausoleum.
The organizers of these units belong to the generation of curators-researchers, who show a strong interest in the artistic heritage of socialist Yugoslavia and who are active on both the local and international art scene: members of the WHW curatorial collective (Ivet Ćurlin, Ana Dević, Nataša Ilić, Sabina Sabolović) from Zagreb are the artistic directors of this year's 11th Istanbul Biennale, the exhibition "As soon as I open my eyes in the morning, I see a film" by Ana Janevski, was named one of the ten best in 2008 by Frieze and Artforum magazines, curators of this year's exhibition of contemporary art "SpaPort" in Banja Luka, while Prelom Kolektiv and Kuda.org presented their research on several occasions in the region and abroad.
Also, this exhibition presents a group of contemporary works of art that thematically and methodologically correspond to the above chapters of the exhibition. Participants: David Maljković, Hito Steyerl, Darinka Pop-Mitić, Igor Grubić, Chto Delat (in collaboration with Ren Raedle and Vladan Jeremić), Tanja Lažetić and Dejan Habicht.
